PROOF BREWING COMPANY TO MOVE TO SOUTH MONROE IN TALLAHASSEE

1320 SOUTH MONROE

SOUTH CITY - TALLAHASSEE, FL
March 19th, 2018

Friends and family,

We are beyond thrilled to finally announce the details about the next phase and expansion for Proof Brewing Company. We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years. We have received so much love from our Tallahassee community, including the patrons, City, County, friends, and partners throughout the state of Florida. Without this support, we wouldn’t be able to reinvest in our local community that has already given us so much. We are so thankful for that and are committed to Tallahassee. Cheers to you!

We will begin renovations on the 34,000 square-foot, former Coca-Cola Bottling Company building on 1320 South Monroe Street. This new facility near the heart of downtown Tallahassee, will feature a larger tasting room, gift shop, full kitchen, private event space, live music stage, and spacious beer garden. The brewery production expansion will feature efficiency upgrades, quality control lab, and additional fermentation capacity. In total, the renovation and expansion will increase the facility’s potential production capacity to 30,000 barrels with additional room to grow.

Since we started brewing in 2012, we have experienced explosive growth, doubling production each year with 6,000 barrels produced in 2017. Your amazing support helped us reach our current building capacity years ahead of projections. The larger building and additional fermentation capacity will enable the brew staff to expand production of Proof Brewing Co.’s core lineup of bold and flavorful beers. With the expansion, we will be able to add more packaged brands in cans (Yes… this means La La Land, among others!) in addition to our widely popular Eightfive-0 and Mango Wit beer. Renovations on the historic Coca-Cola Bottling Company building, built in 1948, will begin in March of 2018 with plans to open by the end of 2018. The new facility will require additional employees and support staff as new markets are reached throughout the state of Florida and beyond. The brewery alone will expect to double production staff by 2020.

Please stay tuned for updates of our progress over the months ahead. We can’t wait to share the journey with you.

From our family to yours, cheers!
